Before we left home - we fed the possum. The possum that lives in our shed likes carrots...

Australia is the middle of a drought. Nontheless, on this particular weekend, the Mount Remarkable area had 66 mm of rain. The car's engine appeared to be dying a slow and painful death, and we forgot our stove - but one shouldn;t be put off by the little things. A large tarp construction helped us stay dry and warm, and ee could fall asleep listening to the rain pounding the tent, safe in the knowledge that it was waterproof.

Because of the weather (and their nice cakes), we visited Bluey's cafe in the old Blacksmith's shop in Melrose more than once. Here, photos from the old workshop...
